The Mineral County Serpents basketball squad (Hawthorne, NV), was outscored 53-45 in Friday's league battle with the host Pyramid Lake Lakers (Nixon, NV)

With the victory, Pyramid Lake advances its record to 11-7 on the year. The Lakers travel to Coleville (Coleville, CA) to meet the Wolves in a 1A West battle on Saturday, January 18. The Wolves enter the battle with a record of 3-9. Coleville won 52-37 in their recent league battle against Whittell (Zephyr Cove, NV)

The Serpents now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sage Ridge for a 1A West battle on Saturday, January 18. Mineral County will meet a Scorpions squad coming off a 78-39 league win over Coleville (Coleville, CA). The Scorpions record now stands at 4-5.
