In Friday's league contest, the host Washington County Commanders basketball team scored a close 55-53 triumph over the Nelson County Cardinals.
The Commanders (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 7-6 record.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Bullitt Central Cougars (Shepherdsville, KY) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. Nelson County will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Cougars go into the contest with a 7-8 record after their 85-40 non-league win over Valley (Louisville, KY).
