Mississippi High School Basketball - Pontotoc holds off New Hope

The Pontotoc Warriors basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting New Hope Trojans to 51 in the Warriors league triumph on Friday.
The Warriors now possess a 16-8 record. They play next when they travel to Lafayette for a 5A Region 1 game on Saturday, January 18. Pontotoc will confront a Commodores team coming off a 62-54 league loss to Clarksdale (Clarksdale, MS). The Commodores record now stands at 9-8.
With the loss, New Hope falls to 9-6 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to confront the Commodores in a 5A Region 1 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Commodores go into the game with a record of 9-9. Lafayette lost 61-40 in their recent league game against Pontotoc (Pontotoc, MS)
