New York High School Basketball - Palmyra-Macedon holds off Newark

In Friday's league contest, the visiting Palmyra-Macedon Red Raiders basketball team scored a close 49-43 triumph over the Newark Reds.
The Red Raiders (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Waterloo (Waterloo, NY). The Tigers enter the Section 5 Finger Lakes - East battle with a 9-3 record.
The Reds now own a 5-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wilson Magnet for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 22. Newark will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 71-56 non-league loss to Vertus (Rochester, NY). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-7.
