The North East Carolina Prep Husky basketball squad (Tarboro, NC), was outscored 74-58 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Tarboro Vikings (Tarboro, NC)
With the victory, Tarboro advances its record to 7-2 on the year. The Vikings host SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 18. The Cougars enter the battle with a record of 10-2. SouthWest Edgecombe won 72-57 in their recent league battle against Ayden - Grifton (Ayden, NC)
The Husky now own a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gates County for a 1A Four Rivers battle on Tuesday, January 21. North East Carolina Prep will meet a Red Barons squad coming off a 86-42 non-league win over Bear Grass Charter (Williamston, NC). The Red Barons record now stands at 4-9.
