North Carolina High School Basketball - Southwest Guilford holds off Northwest Guilford

The Southwest Guilford Cowboys basketball team scored 86 points and limited the host Northwest Guilford Vikings to 79 in the Cowboys league triumph on Friday.

The Cowboys now have a 9-4 record. They play next when they travel to Grimsley for a 4A Metro game on Tuesday, January 21. Southwest Guilford will confront a Whirlies team coming off a 57-46 league loss to Northern Guilford (Greensboro, NC). The Whirlies record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Northwest Guilford falls to 8-5 on the campaign. The Vikings host Asheboro (Asheboro, NC) to confront the Blue Comets in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Blue Comets go into the game with a record of 9-6. Asheboro lost 64-56 in their recent league game against Ledford (Thomasville, NC)
