In Friday's league test, the Rice Consolidated Raiders (Altair, TX) basketball squad defeated the host Palacios Sharks (Palacios, TX), by a score of 46-30.

Next, the Raiders clash with the Industrial Cobras (Vanderbilt, TX) in a 3A Region IV District 25 test, on Monday, January 20. Rice Consolidated will attempt to improve on its 16-6 season record. The Cobras come into the test with a 17-11 record after their 57-47 league loss to Columbus (Columbus, TX).

The Sharks (11-17) will now prepare for their test against Yoakum (Yoakum, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region IV District 25 test with a 12-6 record. In their last test, Yoakum overcame Hallettsville (Hallettsville, TX), 49-29, in a league test.
