The William Monroe Dragons (Stanardsville, VA) basketball toppled the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 57-42 in Friday's league bout.
The Dragons now possess a 10-1 record. They play next when they host Orange County for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 18. William Monroe will play a Fighting Hornets team coming off a 63-23 league win over Goochland (Goochland, VA). The Fighting Hornets record now stands at 8-3.
With the loss, Rockbridge County falls to 0-14 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Broadway (Broadway, VA) to play the Gobblers in a Valley bout on Tuesday, January 21. The Gobblers go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Broadway lost 66-51 in their recent league bout against Harrisonburg (Harrisonburg, VA)
