The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Seymour Eagles (Seymour, TN) and the visiting South-Doyle Cherokees (Knoxville, TN), observed Seymour's basketball team overcome South-Doyle by a margin of 67-54.

The Eagles (7-11) will now prepare for their challenge against Fulton (Knoxville, TN). The Falcons come into the 3A District 3 challenge with a 8-11 record. In their last challenge, Fulton defeated Carter (Strawberry Plains, TN), 61-52, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Cherokees battle the Sequoyah Chiefs (Madisonville, TN) in a 3A District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. South-Doyle will attempt to better on its 5-13 season record.
