In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting St. John's Pioneers basketball team scored a good 59-47 triumph over the St. John's Prep Eagles.
The Pioneers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Xaverian Brothers (Westwood, MA). The Hawks go into the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Xaverian Brothers was topped by Catholic Memorial (West Roxbury, MA), 72-62, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Boston College High Eagles (Boston, MA) in a Catholic contest, on Tuesday, January 21. St. John's Prep will attempt to better on its 1-10 season record. The Eagles go into the contest with a 4-5 record after their 75-57 league loss to Malden Catholic (Malden, MA).
