Tucker Tigers (Tucker, GA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions (Atlanta, GA), 70-61 in a league match.
With the victory, Tucker advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Tigers travel to Baldwin (Milledgeville, GA) to face the Braves in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Braves enter the match with a record of 11-4. Baldwin won 61-52 in their recent league match against Harlem (Harlem, GA)
The Golden Lions now own a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Southwest DeKalb for a AAAA Region 5 match on Tuesday, January 21. St. Pius X Catholic will face a Panthers squad coming off a 48-45 non-league loss to Buford (Buford, GA). The Panthers record now stands at 17-2.
