North Carolina High School Basketball - Avery County tipped by Mitchell

January 17, 2025: Bakersville, NC 28705

The Mitchell Mountaineers got by the visiting Avery County Vikings basketball squad by a final score of 60-53 in Friday's league outing.

Next, the Mountaineers clash with the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a 1A/2A Western Highlands outing, on Tuesday, January 21. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Patriots come into the outing with a 4-11 record after their 39-25 league win over Owen (Black Mountain, NC).

The Vikings (10-4) will now prepare for their outing against Rosman (Rosman, NC). The Tigers come into the 1A/2A Western Highlands outing with a 4-7 record.
