The North Lenoir Hawks basketball squad (LaGrange, NC), was outscored 38-28 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC)
With the victory, Ayden - Grifton advances its record to 3-13 on the year. The Chargers travel to Washington (Washington, NC) to meet the Pam Pack in a 2A Eastern Plains battle on Tuesday, January 21. The Pam Pack enter the battle with a record of 0-11. Washington lost 75-10 in their recent league battle against SouthWest Edgecombe (Pinetops, NC)
The Hawks now own a 5-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kinston for a 2A East Central battle on Wednesday, January 22. North Lenoir will meet a Vikings squad coming off a 41-35 league win over Wallace-Rose Hill (Teachey, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 13-1.
