California High School Basketball - Taft trounced by Birmingham

January 17, 2025: Lake Balboa, CA 91406

Birmingham Patriots (Lake Balboa, CA) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Taft Toreadors (Woodland Hills, CA), 65-23 in a league match.

With the victory, Birmingham advances its record to 13-6 on the year. The Patriots travel to Lynwood (Lynwood, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. The Knights enter the match with a record of 9-11. Lynwood won 56-34 in their recent league match against Gahr (Cerritos, CA)

The Toreadors now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Chatsworth for a West Valley match on Wednesday, January 22. Taft will face a Chancellors squad coming off a 59-24 league loss to El Camino Real (Woodland Hills, CA). The Chancellors record now stands at 4-10.
