The Bishop Ryan Lions basketball team scored 44 points and limited the visiting Velva Aggies to 31 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now have a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Surrey for a B District 6 game on Thursday, January 23. Bishop Ryan will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 51-40 league loss to Towner-Granville-Upham (Towner, ND). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-5.
With the loss, Velva falls to 1-13 on the campaign. The Aggies host Glenburn (Glenburn, ND) to confront the Panther in a B District 6 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Panther go into the game with a record of 6-6. Glenburn lost 56-48 in their recent league game against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood (Renville, ND)
