The Brantley County Herons basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane to 42 in the Herons league triumph on Friday.
The Herons now have a 12-4 record. They play next when they host Worth County for a A D1 Region 1 game on Saturday, January 18. Brantley County will confront a Rams team coming off a 50-43 league win over Fitzgerald (Fitzgerald, GA). The Rams record now stands at 5-7.
With the loss, Fitzgerald falls to 4-8 on the campaign. The Purple hurricane travel to Thomasville (Thomasville, GA) to confront the Bulldogs in a A D1 Region 1 game on Saturday, January 18. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 7-6. Thomasville lost 73-27 in their recent non-league game against Lowndes (Valdosta, GA)
