The Meridian Mustangs basketball team scored 48 points and limited the visiting Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Eagles to 29 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they travel to Twin River for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Meridian will confront a Titans team coming off a 68-38 league loss to Cross County (Stromsburg, NE). The Titans record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Bruning-Davenport/Shickley falls to 6-9 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to McCool Junction (McCool Junction, NE) to confront the Mustangs in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 7-6. McCool Junction lost 53-38 in their recent non-league game against Deshler (Deshler, NE)
