The Rison Wildcats (Rison, AR) basketball were winner over the visiting Central Cougars (West Helena, AR), 75-62 in Friday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats now possess a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to McGehee for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. Rison will play a Owls team coming off a 44-36 league loss to Dumas (Dumas, AR). The Owls record now stands at 12-3.
With the loss, Central falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Cougars host Drew Central (Monticello, AR) to play the Pirates in a 3A Region 8 bout on Friday, January 24. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 16-4.
