North Carolina High School Basketball - Clayton thwarts Corinth Holders

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) and the host Corinth Holders Pirates (Wendell, NC), observed Clayton's basketball team knock off Corinth Holders by a score of 62-53.

The Comets (5-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Cleveland (Clayton, NC). The Rams come into the 4A Greater Neuse River challenge with a 6-8 record.

In their next game, the Pirates encounter the Garner Trojans (Garner, NC) in a 4A Greater Neuse River challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Corinth Holders will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 8-7 record after their 70-22 league loss to Southeast Raleigh (Raleigh, NC).
