The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Cumberland Gap Panthers (Cumberland Gap, TN) and the visiting Scott Highlanders (Huntsville, TN), observed Cumberland Gap's basketball team knock off Scott by a score of 46-36.
The Panthers (8-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Clinton (Clinton, TN). The Dragons come into the 3A District 4 challenge with a 3-11 record.
In their next game, the Highlanders encounter the Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN) in a 3A District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Scott will attempt to improve on its 12-5 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 5-14 record after their 50-47 league loss to Union County (Maynardville, TN).
