Mississippi High School Basketball - East Rankin Academy holds off Lamar

The East Rankin Academy Patriots basketball team scored 49 points and limited the host Lamar Raiders to 45 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now have a 26-2 record. They play next when they host Wayne Academy for a MAIS 5A District 2 game on Tuesday, January 21. East Rankin Academy will confront a Jaguars team coming off a 74-31 league loss to Leake Academy (Madden, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-20.
With the loss, Lamar falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Park Place Christian Academy (Pearl, MS) to confront the Crusaders in a MAIS 5A District 2 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Crusaders go into the game with a record of 8-15. Park Place Christian Academy lost 55-21 in their recent league game against Simpson Academy (Mendenhall, MS)
