Alabama High School Basketball - Excel thwarts Sweet Water

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Excel Panthers (Excel, AL) and the visiting Sweet Water Bulldogs (Sweet Water, AL), observed Excel's basketball team knock off Sweet Water by a score of 32-16.
The Panthers (3-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Monroe County (Monroeville, AL). The Tigers come into the 3A Area 2 challenge with a 3-14 record.
In their next game, the Bulldogs encounter the Choctaw County Tigers (Butler, AL) in a 1A Area 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Sweet Water will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 5-12 record after their 52-15 league loss to Shields (Beatrice, AL).
