The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Kearney Bearcats (Kearney, NE) and the visiting Fremont Tigers (Fremont, NE), observed Kearney's basketball team overwhelm Fremont by a score of 67-20.

The Bearcats (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Burke (Omaha, NE). The Bulldogs come into the A District 2 challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Burke was routed by Fremont (Fremont, NE), 52-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers encounter the Lincoln East Spartans (Lincoln, NE) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Fremont will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 74-51 non-league loss to Blue Valley North (Overland Park, KS).
