The Union County Patriots (Maynardville, TN) basketball edged the visiting Gibbs Eagles (Corryton, TN), 50-47 in Friday's league bout.
The Patriots now possess a 9-6 record. They play next when they host Washburn for a non-league bout on Monday, January 20. Union County will play a Pirates team coming off a 57-44 league loss to Cosby (Cosby, TN). The Pirates record now stands at 14-6.
