In Friday's league contest, the host Point Arena Pirates basketball team scored a big 65-43 triumph over the Grace Christian Academy Lions.
The Pirates (10-8) will now prepare for their contest against Potter Valley (Potter Valley, CA). The Bearcats go into the North Central III contest with a 0-8 record. In their last contest, Potter Valley was trounced by Elsie Allen (Santa Rosa, CA), 56-48, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Lions confront the Tomales Braves (Tomales, CA) in a North Central III contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Grace Christian Academy will attempt to better on its 9-3 season record. The Braves go into the contest with a 5-7 record after their 30-22 league loss to Mendocino (Mendocino, CA).
