In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Grand Rapids Thunderhawks basketball team scored a big 73-51 triumph over the Hibbing Bluejackets.

The Thunderhawks (3-17) will now prepare for their contest against Duluth East (Duluth, MN). The Greyhounds go into the non-league contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Duluth East was trounced by Blaine (Blaine, MN), 75-20, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bluejackets confront the Hermantown Hawks (Hermantown, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Hibbing will attempt to better on its 1-17 season record. The Hawks go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 75-52 league loss to Proctor (Proctor, MN).
