The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Walnut Grove Wildcats (Prosper, TX) and the visiting Greenville Lions (Greenville, TX), observed Walnut Grove's basketball team overwhelm Greenville by a margin of 49-12.

The Wildcats (14-14) will now prepare for their challenge against Lovejoy (Lucas, TX). The Leopards come into the 5A Region II District 9 challenge with a 21-7 record. In their last challenge, Lovejoy trounced Denison (Denison, TX), 55-34, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Lions battle the Sherman Bearcats (Sherman, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Greenville will attempt to better on its 5-23 season record. The Bearcats come into the challenge with a 2-20 record after their 69-14 league loss to Melissa (Melissa, TX).
