The Eagles (3-15) will now prepare for their challenge against Burton (Burton, TX). The Panthers come into the 2A Region IV District 26 challenge with a 10-8 record. In their last challenge, Burton trounced Snook (Snook, TX), 53-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Yeguas encounter the Iola Bulldogs (Iola, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 26 challenge, on Thursday, January 23. Somerville will attempt to improve on its 1-16 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 2-14 record after their 67-18 league loss to Mumford (Mumford, TX).
