The Vestavia Hills Rebels basketball team scored 52 points and limited the visiting Hoover Buccaneers to 41 in the Rebels league triumph on Friday.

The Rebels now possess a 22-2 record. They play next when they travel to Hewitt-Trussville for a 7A Area 6 game on Tuesday, January 21. Vestavia Hills will play a Huskies team coming off a 56-46 non-league win over Pelham (Pelham, AL). The Huskies record now stands at 15-10.

With the loss, Hoover falls to 22-3 on the campaign. The Buccaneers travel to Hardaway (Columbus, GA) to play the Hawks in a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 10-5. Hardaway won 62-43 in their recent league game against Sumter County (Americus, GA)
