The Mumford Mustangs basketball team scored 67 points and limited the visiting Iola Bulldogs to 18 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now have a 20-5 record. They play next when they host Bremond for a 2A Region IV District 26 game on Tuesday, January 21. Mumford will confront a Tigers team coming off a 59-15 league win over Iola (Iola, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 20-4.

With the loss, Iola falls to 2-14 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Somerville (Somerville, TX) to confront the Yeguas in a 2A Region IV District 26 game on Thursday, January 23. The Yeguas go into the game with a record of 1-16. Somerville lost 43-18 in their recent league game against Hearne (Hearne, TX)
