The Ishpeming Hematites basketball team scored 77 points and limited the visiting Manistique Emeralds to 35 in the Hematites league triumph on Friday.

The Hematites now possess a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Iron Mountain for a Mid-Peninsula game on Monday, January 20. Ishpeming will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 60-50 non-league loss to Hancock (Hancock, MI). The Mountaineers record now stands at 2-9.

With the loss, Manistique falls to 2-7 on the campaign. The Emeralds travel to Negaunee (Negaunee, MI) to confront the Miners in a Mid-Peninsula game on Tuesday, January 21. The Miners go into the game with a record of 13-0. Negaunee won 48-41 in their recent non-league game against Westwood (Ishpeming, MI)
