The Steele Knights basketball team scored 72 points and limited the host Johnson Jaguars to 41 in the Knights league triumph on Friday.

The Knights now possess a 20-6 record. They play next when they travel to Clemens for a 6A Region IV District 29 game on Tuesday, January 21. Steele will confront a Buffaloes team coming off a 78-14 league loss to Judson (Converse, TX). The Buffaloes record now stands at 4-21.

With the loss, Johnson falls to 6-17 on the campaign. The Jaguars host San Marcos (San Marcos, TX) to confront the Rattlers in a 6A Region IV District 29 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Rattlers go into the game with a record of 20-6. San Marcos won 54-28 in their recent league game against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX)
