The Lenoir City Panthers basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting Sequoyah Chiefs to 25 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.

The Panthers now have a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Heritage for a 3A District 5 game on Tuesday, January 21. Lenoir City will confront a Mountaineers team coming off a 78-39 non-league win over Seymour (Seymour, TN). The Mountaineers record now stands at 13-0.

With the loss, Sequoyah falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Chiefs host South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN) to confront the Cherokees in a 3A District 5 game on Tuesday, January 21. The Cherokees go into the game with a record of 6-12. South-Doyle won 47-44 in their recent non-league game against Seymour (Seymour, TN)
