In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Poplar Springs Atomics basketball team scored a close 41-38 win over the Malone Tigers.
The Atomics (3-16) will now prepare for their contest against Emmanuel Christian (Dothan, AL). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 0-7 record.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Sneads Pirates (Sneads, FL) in a Rural District 3 contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Malone will attempt to better on its 3-9 season record. The Pirates come into the contest with a 3-10 record after their 51-36 non-league loss to Port St. Joe (Port St. Joe, FL).
