In Friday's league contest, the host Nanih Waiya Warriors basketball team scored a good 54-43 triumph over the McAdams Bulldogs.

The Warriors (12-5) will now prepare for their contest against Velma Jackson (Camden, MS). The Falcons go into the 1A Region 6 contest with a 9-9 record. In their last contest, Velma Jackson topped Ethel (Ethel, MS), 48-31, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Shaw Warriors (Shaw, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 18. McAdams will attempt to better on its 11-10 season record. The Warriors go into the contest with a 4-11 record after their 40-38 league win over Leland (Leland, MS).
