The Waukon Indians basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host New Hampton Chickasaws to 36 in the Indians league triumph on Friday.

The Indians now have a 9-5 record. They play next when they host Houston for a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. Waukon will confront a Hurricanes team coming off a 46-45 league win over Lanesboro (Lanesboro, MN). The Hurricanes record now stands at 12-5.

With the loss, New Hampton falls to 2-10 on the campaign. The Chickasaws travel to Columbus (Waterloo, IA) to confront the Sailors in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The Sailors go into the game with a record of 1-11. Columbus lost 49-42 in their recent non-league game against Waterloo East (Waterloo, IA)
