North Carolina High School Basketball - Wilson Prep overwhelms Northampton County

January 17, 2025: Wilson, NC 27896

The Wilson Prep Tigers basketball team scored 64 points and limited the visiting Northampton County Jaguars to 16 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.

The Tigers now possess a 12-1 record. They play next when they travel to Southern Nash for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18. Wilson Prep will confront a Firebirds team coming off a 44-41 league win over Bunn (Bunn, NC). The Firebirds record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Northampton County falls to 5-9 on the campaign. The Jaguars host Rocky Mount Prep (Rocky Mount, NC) to confront the Jaguars in a 1A Tar Roanoke game on Tuesday, January 21. The Jaguars go into the game with a record of 5-7. Rocky Mount Prep won 41-40 in their recent league game against Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC)
