Georgia High School Basketball - Upson-Lee toppled by Sandy Creek

Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) boosters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA), 50-37 in a league match.

With the victory, Sandy Creek upgrades its record to 13-3 on the year. The Patriots travel to Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA) to face the Tigers in a AAA Region 2 match on Saturday, January 18. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 11-4. Fayette County won 49-17 in their recent league match against Mary Persons (Forsyth, GA)

The Knights now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Lamar County for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18. Upson-Lee will face a Trojans squad coming off a 64-7 league win over Utopian Academy for the Arts (Ellenwood, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 12-4.
