In Friday's league contest, the host Sheridan Spartans basketball team scored a good 54-38 win over the Santiam Christian Eagles.
The Spartans (5-7) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson (Jefferson, OR). The Lions come into the 3A PacWest contest with a 11-4 record. In their last contest, Jefferson dropped by Amity (Amity, OR), 68-38, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Blanchet Catholic Cavaliers (Salem, OR) in a 3A PacWest contest, on Wednesday, January 22. Santiam Christian will attempt to better on its 6-11 season record. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a 4-10 record after their 49-15 non-league win over Gervais (Gervais, OR).
