In Friday's league contest, the visiting South St. Paul Packers basketball team scored a close 39-36 triumph over the Simley Spartans.
The Packers (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Hastings (Hastings, MN). The Raiders go into the non-league contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Hastings nipped Tartan (Oakdale, MN), 74-42, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Spartans battle the Southwest Christian Stars (Chaska, MN) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Simley will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Stars go into the contest with a 11-5 record after their 61-50 non-league win over St. Clair (St. Clair, MN).
