In Friday's league test, the Southern Columbia Area Tigers (Catawissa, PA) basketball squad trounced the visiting Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA), by a score of 54-23.
Next, the Tigers encounter the Hughesville Spartans (Hughesville, PA) in a Heartland III test, on Wednesday, January 22. Southern Columbia Area will attempt to improve on its 9-5 season record. The Spartans come into the test with a 15-1 record after their 73-40 non-league win over Milton (Milton, PA).
The Defenders (0-14) will now prepare for their test against Muncy (Muncy, PA). The Indians come into the non-league test with a 10-3 record. In their last test, Muncy bounced Columbia Montour Vo-Tech (Bloomsburg, PA), 60-8, in a league test.
