The St. Patrick Fighting Irish basketball team scored 50 points and limited the visiting West Marion Trojans to 27 in the Fighting Irish league triumph on Friday.

The Fighting Irish now have a 17-5 record. They play next when they host Perry Central for a 3A Region 8 game on Monday, January 20. St. Patrick will confront a Bulldogs team coming off a 55-23 league loss to Tylertown (Tylertown, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-14.

With the loss, West Marion falls to 4-16 on the campaign. The Trojans travel to Hattiesburg (Hattiesburg, MS) to confront the Tigers in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 11-9. Hattiesburg won 49-42 in their recent league game against West Jones (Laurel, MS)
