In Friday's non-league contest, the host Amherst County Lancers basketball team scored a close 38-36 triumph over the Jefferson Forest Cavaliers.
The Lancers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Pioneers go into the non-league contest with a 2-10 record. In their last contest, Heritage was tipped by Glass (Lynchburg, VA), 41-18, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Cavaliers battle the Salem Seminoles (Conyers, GA) in a non-league contest, on Tuesday, January 21. Jefferson Forest will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Seminoles go into the contest with a 3-1 record after their 45-32 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).
