North Carolina High School Basketball - Laney holds off Ashley

The Laney Buccaneers basketball team scored 38 points and limited the visiting Ashley Screaming Eagle to 35 in the Buccaneers non-league triumph on Friday.
The Buccaneers now have a 6-0 record. They play next when they host Topsail for a non-league game on Friday, January 24.
With the loss, Ashley falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Screaming eagle travel to Topsail (Hampstead, NC) to confront the Pirates in a non-league game on Tuesday, January 21. The Pirates go into the game with a record of 11-1. Topsail won 44-15 in their recent non-league game against West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC)
