In Friday's non-league test, the Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Castlewood Blue Devils (Castlewood, VA), by a margin of 38-22.
The Eagles now have a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Castlewood for a non-league game on Friday, February 7.
With the loss, Castlewood falls to 0-3 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Eastside (Coeburn, VA) to confront the Spartans in a non-league game on Friday, January 24. The Spartans go into the game with a record of 2-1.
