The Cranston East Thunderbolts basketball team scored 35 points and limited the visiting Middletown Islanders to 17 in the Thunderbolts non-league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbolts now have a 4-5 record. They play next when they travel to Westerly for a non-league game on Saturday, January 18.

With the loss, Middletown falls to 3-1 on the campaign. The Islanders travel to Blackstone Valley Prep (Cumberland, RI) to confront the PRIDE in a non-league game on Monday, January 20. The PRIDE go into the game with a record of 2-2. Blackstone Valley Prep won 39-13 in their recent non-league game against Pilgrim (Warwick, RI)
