Uwharrie Charter Academy Eagles (Asheboro, NC) supporters left the game happy Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC), 33-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Uwharrie Charter Academy advances its record to 3-3 on the year. The Eagles travel to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC) to face the Villains in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 28. The Villains enter the match with a record of 0-1.
The Cougars now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mount Pleasant for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 22. Southwestern Randolph will face a Tigers squad coming off a 37-9 non-league loss to Albemarle (Albemarle, NC). The Tigers record now stands at 0-8.
