The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Nichols Vikings (Buffalo, NY) and the host Albany Academy for Boys Cadets (Albany, NY), witnessed Nichols's ice hockey team defeat Albany Academy for Boys by a final score of 4-2.

The Vikings (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Mount St. Charles Academy (Woonsocket, RI). The Mounties come into the non-league challenge with a 7-5 record.

In their next game, the Cadets battle the Lawrenceville School Big Red (Lawrenceville, NJ) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 21. Albany Academy for Boys will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Big Red come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Northfield Mount Hermon (Mount Hermon, MA).
