High School Ice Hockey - Varsity Opponent knocks off Mentor

The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Varsity Opponent (, ) and the visiting Mentor Cardinals (Mentor, OH), witnessed Varsity Opponent's ice hockey team defeat Mentor by a score of 5-0.
The (49-80) will now prepare for their challenge against West Orange (West Orange, NJ). The Mountaineers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-3 record.
In their next game, the Cardinals battle the Perrysburg Yellow Jackets (Perrysburg, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 18. Mentor will attempt to better on its 15-9 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a 5-11 record after their 6-3 league loss to Northview (Sylvania, OH).
