Michigan High School Ice Hockey - Negaunee nudges Sparta

In Friday's non-league contest, the visiting Negaunee Miners ice hockey team scored a close 5-3 victory over the Sparta Spartans.
The Miners (4-11) will now prepare for their contest against Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 8-6 record. In their last contest, Kenowa Hills edged Bishop Foley (Madison Heights, MI), 7-1, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Spartans play the Mattawan Wildcats (Mattawan, MI) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 24. Sparta will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record.
